1. Who we are

These terms govern all sales by Meranti Packaging Ltd ("Meranti", "we", "us"), a business-to-business wholesale supplier of packaging materials. Company No. 17151175; Registered office: Fern Hill Business Centre, Todd Street, Bury, BL9 5BJ. We sell to businesses, sole traders and organisations only, not to consumers, and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 does not apply to our sales.

2. Orders and acceptance

Orders placed through this website are submitted for invoice: no payment is taken online. Your order is an offer to buy. A contract forms only when we email an order confirmation. We may decline any order, for example where stock, pricing or delivery errors have occurred, and will tell you promptly if so.

3. Prices and payment

  • All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and exclude VAT, which is added at the prevailing rate (currently 20%).
  • Invoices are payable by BACS or card on the terms stated on the invoice. First orders are payable before dispatch unless agreed otherwise.
  • 30-day credit terms are available to approved accounts, subject to status and satisfactory references, normally after three invoices paid on time. We may withdraw credit at any time acting reasonably.
  • Late payments attract interest and compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

4. Delivery

Delivery timescales, charges and reporting windows are set out in our Delivery & Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms. Delivery dates are estimates given in good faith; time of delivery is not of the essence. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

5. Retention of title

Ownership of goods passes only when we have received payment in full for them. Until then you hold the goods as bailee for us, must store them so they are identifiable as ours, and may sell them in the ordinary course of business, holding the proceeds on trust for us to the value owed.

6. Returns and claims

Unused goods in their original packaging may be returned within 14 days of delivery as set out in the Delivery & Returns Policy. Shortages and transit damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Bespoke, printed or specially ordered items cannot be returned unless faulty.

7. Product information

Dimensions, GSM, micron and pack quantities are stated to normal manufacturing tolerances. Product images are representative. If a specification matters for your application, ask us to confirm it in writing before ordering.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the price paid for the goods concerned, and we are not liable for loss of profit, business, goodwill or any indirect or consequential loss.

9. Trade accounts

You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for orders placed through your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend accounts that are in arrears or misused.

10. General

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between us in relation to website orders. If any provision is found unenforceable the rest remain in force. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
